Terms and conditions Bushfire Wise
Rebates will be paid towards invoiced material and installations costs. Rebates are subject to availability of funds and must be pre-approved. Rebates will not be given to works required for either BASIX or development application compliance.
Only bushfire retrofit work granted pre-approval will qualify for a rebate. Changes to or additional retrofit work will require a new pre-approval application.
Bushfire retro-fit work must be completed by a competent persons and where applicable comply with:
Planning for Bushfire Protection 2006

Australian Standard: 3959-2009 Construction of buildings in bushfire prone areas (AS3959-2009)

Council and NSW regulations.

Applications must be received within the same financial year the work was completed.
Issuing a rebate requires an inspection and final approval is at the discretion of the Council officer administering the program.
Climate Wise - Bushfire retrofit rebates are available exclusively for Ku-ring-gai residents.
Only properties within either the bushfire prone land or ember attack zone qualify for this rebate program.
