Reshaping Waste Workshop

Pittwater Eco Adventures have spent over 5,000 hours cleaning up beaches and getting hands‑on with the plastic problem. Now they're inviting you to be part of the solution.

These holidays, they're bringing their engaging Reshaping Waste workshop to Gordon Youth Hub. In this hands‑on session, you’ll turn trash into treasure as you sort, shred, and transform plastic bottle lids into funky, functional creations.

Perfect for anyone who loves to play, tinker, and make things, the workshop puts you behind the controls of our portable but powerful recycling machinery. You’ll shred plastic down to size, melt it, and crank it into moulds to create items like pens, carabiner keychains, and pocket combs.

You’ll get access to specialised tools, raw plastic waste materials, and the guidance of our experienced team. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment with colours and ideas. You’ll walk away with new skills, your own recycled creations, and the confidence to help turn the tide on plastic pollution, one bottle lid at a time.

For young people aged 12–18 only. Registration required.

All materials and snacks provided.

This event is proudly 50% subsidised by Ku-ring-gai Council as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting young people in our community.
