Come and plant tube stock at St Ives Showground to mark its 100-year milestone - all welcome!

The Showground is home to Duffys Forest endangered ecological community which has been impacted by storms, disease, and development. Planting 100 trees will help to restore the canopy, increase biodiversity, and provide food and habitat for a range of native wildlife, including threatened species such as the Eastern Pygmy-possum, Glossy Black-Cockatoo, Large Bent-winged Bat and Rosenberg’s Goanna.

This is a one-off event no ongoing commitment required. No skills or experience required, professionals will be there to guide you. Tools and plants provided.

Public transport: Bus 196 and 197 stop next to entrance

Wear: long sleeved shirt, long trousers, sturdy closed toe shoes

Bring: bottle of drinking water, gardening gloves

Enjoy: Free sausage sizzle BBQ for all volunteers
